The Australian Grand Prix was a disappointing race for Red Bull driver's Vettel, Webber and Buemi. However, Alguersuari drove the race of his life just a few days after his 20th birthday.

Jaime had a race long battle with 7-time world champion Michael Schumacher, holding him off for 36 laps.

A small mistake from Jaime, with just 5 laps to go, eventually allowed Schumacher through and resulted in the world champion taking the final points position from Jaime. Nevertheless Alguersuari's great drive will surely have answered his critics and Jaime's confidence will have grown massively.
